It's April! 04/22/2011
 
  This is my favorite time of year.  I'm sure I'm not alone in that because we are all weary of the long dreary cold grey days of winter. We're anxious for the green to show up on the tree limbs, for the yellow and white flowers to show their tiny heads in the dirt, and the pink and white blossoms of short round trees to dot the lawns in the neighborhoods. We're welcoming of warm and bright sun shiny days. For some reason, we seem to be in better moods and dispositions. Howbeit, with watery eyes and runny noses!

As much as I enjoy all that Spring brings, that's not the reason it is my favorite time of year. Something deeper in me is brightened other than what my eyes see.  It is the season that I'm reminded of my identity, my worth, my purpose, my focus, my hope and my reason for living. It is the story of Easter!

God, always true to His covenant, brings all history together in one short time line event. We can even boil it down to one week. The thought that all history past and future is played out in a human time span of one week is incredible.  The deepest display of Love is demonstrated in events of one week. The most staggering exhibition of Power is shown in a week.  It touches me deeply. It is the moment in history when two kingdoms collided . . . And God won!
